Stewart Wawatie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Stewart Wawatie of Rapid Lake, who passed away peacefully at the Maniwaki Hospital on November 2, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was the beloved son of Pauline Ratt and the late Maurice Wawatie, and the loving husband of Christine Ratt.

Stewart was a devoted father to his daughter Maurissa (Winter) and a proud and loving grandfather to Asaiah, Adrienne, Johanna, Nikaya, Amiyah, and Isla-Rose.

He was the brother of the late Ruby, Debbie, Gerry, David, John, Gracie, Benjamin, Charlene, Steve, Nodin, and Russell Jr.

Stewart will be deeply missed by his family, extended relatives, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Funeral Arrangements

Stewart will be brought home to Rapid Lake on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, where he will be waked until Friday, November 6, 2026.

The burial will take place in Rapid Lake on Friday, November 6, 2026.
